I have just returned from ten days of travel in Southern California, desert, and blossoms. A gentle snow greets me home in Massachusetts so I can better orient myself to the transformation of spring we all await!
This full Moon belongs to Queen Esther; it is the Purim Moon. Esther was chosen queen to replace a rebellious wife of the Persian King Ahasuerus. She was able to save her people from a plot to destroy the Jews by Haman, jealous vizier to the King. Instead the villain was strung up and Esther, and her uncle Mordecai, who kept her in touch with what was happening on the ground were honored.
