The Planets: The Moon

The Moon

The Moon was really tough to design. I think I tore up five or six different ideas before this one finally sat well with me. I kept running into the problem of it being too geometric. The Moon is supposed to represent the unconscious, the soul—these are not neat and tidy things, but wild, fluid, and organic. Perhaps the final design is still a bit too balanced, but I’m pleased enough with it.

On to Mars…

  1. This is actually *perfect* and really captures the Moon’s energy well. I like this so much that I honestly want to get a print and frame it, and/or use it as an icon or something. (and you know I’m the watery/lunar person, so.)

    1. *whew* Thank you. I’m very glad this resonates with a bona fide watery person (and as we both know, Water is my toughest element)! Please feel free to use it for icon fodder, just credit the artist (which I know you always do, so thanks in advance).

Hmmm…prints…there’s an interesting idea…*runs off to research DA & Flickr options*

      1. Yep, I will definitely credit the artiste. 😉

If you could make prints of these it would be awesome, yes. I would definitely put a print of this on my wall at home, maybe even on my altar.
